Genital Warts From Waxing

Ecomuseum Margeride - Cantal

Three places to learn, discover ... remember

The museum of the Margeride, established in 1975, tells the story past and present inhabitants of this mountainous country in three locations: the farm of Pierre Allegre, the garden of St. Martin and the school Fontille Clemence.

With houses and gardens, objects and images, smells and moods, the museum of the Margeride tells the story of past and present inhabitants of this country mountain located between Cantal, Lozere and Haute-Loire.

In 1975, while the economic crisis moved permanently and that the effects of rural depopulation is sorely felt in the region, turns a page in Margeride.

Sensing that nothing will now as before, the people of Loubaresse, a small village outside of Cantal, decide to develop, the better to conserve and to perpetuate the memory of an era, the farm Pierre Allegre, old peasant thought. The peasant's house was born, she will soon become the museum of the Margeride only in Auvergne to be recognized by the Ministry of Culture. Besides the house of Pierre Allegre, whose state of conservation and heritage value high command respect, the museum has two extensions: the garden at St. Martin-in-Ruynes Margeride which focuses on the relationship between man and nature and the school Clemence Fontille at Signalauze, reflecting what was the school life of our ancestors, even in the immediate postwar period.

Location animations and exhibitions, the museum of the Margeride positions itself as an actor in local development, real link between the Margeride yesterday and today.

Farm Pierre Allegre - Loubaresse

In the village of Loubaresse, Farm Pierre Allegre is an invitation to discover and share the daily life of a family of Margeride last century.

In the common room in the barn, through the rooms or premises, everything has been faithfully preserved or restored.

The stones themselves are valuable evidence: inscriptions engraved on a lintel above the door indicates that Pierre Croizat built this building, one of the first in the region made a single block. It will be enlarged by his grandson, son, Pierre Allegre in 1844.

Magnificent sculptures above the entrance were made by stone masons, to thank the family for their hospitality. It will be very proud because only wealthy landowners could afford such fantasies.

The Garden of Saint-Martin - Ruynes en Margeride

At the foot of the tower-in-Ruynes Margeride, remains of a castle twelfth century, extends the natural heritage of the Margeride.

Invitation to discover the natural environment of the region, fauna, flora and action the man who has shaped the landscape for generations.

An interactive exhibition also explains the creation of massive Margeride, the manufacture of granite and granite in particular that of "horse-tooth".

A presentation of the collection in Margeride (mushrooms, blueberries, narcissus, lichen ...) to discover the report as maintenance man and his environment through a traditional activity that is undergoing profound changes.

School Fontille Clemence - Signalauze

In 1870, the school's Signalauze hamlet located in the town of Ruynes en Margeride, welcomed its first students. First private girls' school, it became coeducational public school in 1873. In 1983, while it has only four students, it closes its doors.

This place named after the much-loved teacher of students at the beginning of the century, offers an exhibition that traces the path of schoolchildren from 1870 to today: fights, games ... of walking to school bus.

You can listen the story of the various paths of schoolchildren (interviews with former students of the school made by Lawrence Vedrines).
