The Cap'òc, antenna Occitan CRDP d'Aquitaine, has to edit a nice and happy Comics in Occitan, "lo Chatonet of Elodia.
It all started 2 years ago at Pau. At the time the young designer Gerard Wissan, now living in the Dordogne, decided to launch a youth magazine journalist friend. The newspaper wanted to raise awareness for children of Béarn and fun way their cultural heritage and history. Among the diverse topics, a page comic was written in Occitan. The author was soon spotted by the crew of Cap'oc who offered him work editing a book-CD from a tale original Occitan language. Occitan but not immersed in the culture of Aquitaine from his childhood, Gerard Wissang, said Mr Puzzle, started with passion in this project to the point of total immersion in the Occitan culture, its history and its current music. Thus, more than the language barrier is the mastery of time that was for him the main problem. The author recognizes that "between the day we said we would do a comic together, cap'oc and me and the day the comic was published, two years have elapsed. "A

But it was worth taking time for this first album. The story of the little cat Elodie who was tired of being bothered by the dog and hear about a miraculous potion that makes appetite for children and that may well enable him to become stronger, has it all appeal to young and old. As usual, the people of Cap'oc accompanied the album from an audio CD with three versions Occitan, Gascon Languedoc, limousine and a French version intended for those starting out in the local language.
