A Few Spots Of Brown Implantation

The legend comes to life in Périgord Vert

In rural areas, the issue of intangible heritage and its transmission to younger generations of today arises vividly. Since 3 years the association ARTICLE 19 located in the countryside, allows young visitors to access the tools of expression as the image captured by taking the theme culture and language of oc. Laura Leeson (lead facilitator of the association) and his rookie Julia Caron already under their belts "Knock! Knock! The Oc "in 2007 with the youth of Brantome and" Hold your tongue "designed with students of Bertrand Born in May. Last summer the team was plunged into a new project: an animated film inspired by this collection and Occitan in 6 days (writing the screenplay, shooting script, staging, set design, filming, editing and sound). The target audience this time was young Montagrier Township.
Transmit and curiosity
To Laura Leeson "these teens are off the direct link with their heritage, with the language of their grandparents, the workshop was a way to transmit our own curiosity about this rich heritage. From the moment young watched the DVD collection Occitan made on the department, they realized they could talk to their family and it was not a language and a culture that was foreign to them as they believed before. "
Young people did everything themselves. They wrote together a comprehensive history of Leberon. They have mixed stories from popular beliefs such as fountains and their "powers", and the history of the devil, who become secondary narrative processes and sometimes on the verge of "private joke". In
result, a beautiful animated Occitan you will see first-run Grand Brassac October 4. Evidence is as yet Laura Leeson said that "a language and culture are transmitted more easily to young people if they are to turn and shot her to live in their own way! "

What better way to come together and strengthen bonds and friendships that singing group. In the Dordogne, as in any field Occitan many studio songs have emerged in recent years. Also, to better prepare the great demonstration for the defense and recognition of Occitan language to be held next October 24 in Carcassonne, the Institute Occitan Studies has launched a very logical project-wide around the Occitan Occitan songs. Antisocial Personality Disorder Actors

Jean Jaures, theologian laïque et socialisme

An original thought
" Why not take advantage of what most children in our schools know and still talk about what is called a rude name "patois"? It would not neglect the French: It would be better to teach instead that familiar look in his vocabulary, in syntax, in its means of expression, with the Languedoc and Provence. This would be for the people of France and the South, the subject of linguistic study the most alive, most familiar, the most fruitful for the mind .... "Here's what Jean Jaures wrote for La Depeche de Toulouse in August 1911. It seems that the article had escaped the bullies Language France, however, argue that the Great Man.
January 24, 1910 in his best speech on secularism, even declared from the rostrum of the House: "Would you allow me to speak my mind? I tell you without hesitation: I am not one of those frightening that the word God. " Again the philosophy of the man who was one of the largest French politician may embarrass those who prefer not to see in him a laïcard.
The truth of the sensible
Jaurès was secular, anticlerical hardcore no doubt, but it was mostly overlooked the Catholic royalist support capital and property. "Eaters of priests" then, but true believer, he fed his thoughts of the Gospels until his death, murdered on the eve of the Great War by "trafòus" who was never convicted.
When Jean Jaures been the most contradictory claims, the publisher Occitan Vent Terral had the good idea to bring us back to the founding text of its action and thought by publishing his doctoral thesis "From Reality World sensitive. The text is accompanied by editor Jordi Blanc a very long preface documented, clear and precise that allows better access to the exhilarating thought. Secular theology and socialism original Jean Jaures certainly help you to relativize the emptiness of the thought of that back.

Deborah Sampson Revolutionary Quotes

Un livre à croquer

If there is one book to have in their library it is this one. For my part, I long to get it for editing had long been sold out in bookstores. Yet I knew by hearsay that "Talking crunch" by Claude Duneton was a work which must put into words many still abstract notions at the time for me. One day, I managed to find internet treasure, and what was not my enlightenment by opening the pages of this book appeared in 1973 with a major publisher in Paris.
A reissue that comes at
With editions "of Lo Chamin feels Jaume," which comes from the reissue, you'll enjoy your turn to prose alert, ironic, and relevant Claude Duneton in a "Talk Crunch" timeless. Throughout the pages, the author explains in part from personal experience why 14 million Occitan in 1930 are more than 1.5 million 70 years later. As harassment, renunciation, and humiliation it took to get there. But the interest of the work does not stop there, it also lies in a very detailed study of the French language, its origin to the present, highlighting its strengths and weaknesses. It then finds the answers to the current problem of teaching the language of Voltaire. Claude Duneton fact a comparison unexpected and very jubilant between Occitan, French and English. Many misconceptions are thus undermined. People who would have remained in the thoughts of the nineteenth century will find the opportunity to do a makeover show and intellectual in a different light the question of sustainability and the transmission of regional languages.
"Talking crunch" has not waned and his new edition is timely to come and lead the debate on the merits of the Occitan language teaching in our schools. Talking Duneton

Among them, a handful of men from the resistance created in 1945 the Institut d'Estudis Occitan. Their goal was to maintain and develop the language and culture Occitan by management, harmonization and standardization of all work related to the Occitan culture as a whole. Since the association has spread throughout Occitan including the Val d'Aran and the Occitan valleys of Italy. L’art de nous raconter

Being an artist in rural areas is not easy. During the years in our performing arts department was confined to an artistic expression of import, seeing in local actors and amateurs, it was more difficult. And if you took over the idea of expressing yourself in Occitan, then it is worth better pack up. That's what was at the time that Monique Burg moved to London to train to the theater where she lived for eleven years. Once trilingual, Occitan, French, English, and a rich experience, beautiful redhead who would make jealous many Irish returned to their land-use and full sarladaises reason.
An artist with many facets
meantime things had changed in the country. Gradually the Occitan culture had earned a place in politics and Cultural Action of the Perigord and Aquitaine. Monique Burg was the rendezvous. Both storyteller, actress and singer, this artist with a strong personality and haunting voice and participation in recent years in many projects. She was involved in the collecting of memory Occitan northern Dordogne. And it is that Pamela Varela chose to reach out to women and making them tell in the film "Las Sason. Similarly, for the show "Imagination", built around the collecting of five regions of Occitan, she was the teller who was speaking to the Périgord: the obvious. If
you happen to see her on stage, do not be surprised. Her tale as a traditional storyteller. She says, like a girlfriend indiscreet. It also challenges you to show how the current man with a humorous meitat chen - Wishing meitat pork Perigord. And he may even sing. Alone on stage, Monique Burg is all at once and much more, just a real pleasure.

Per far dançar Carnaval

I am one of those people who think need being an actor in the party, not a spectator. Nothing irritates me is sadder than to attend a carnival parade of floats without being able to sing or dance. So if you're like me, Cap'oc with the help of the association Pantalonada Carnival has just released the kit of good little festaire Mardi Gras: Carnival Danças. This book-CD is an indispensable tool for teachers of elementary and middle school for animators as day camps for all citizens who wish to learn the secret songs and dances of the Carnival of Aquitaine.
The booklet is in three parts. First are presented 17 songs in Occitan to dance with a French translation. The second part presents the basic steps. Finally come the development and progress of each dance whose words are proposed in the first third of the book, in addition to 7 other dances. In the box are also two CDs. The first is made to learn with simple harmonies. The second is a normal rhythm for dancing and singing to the world.
A simple and effective tool
From the first reading we feel that the creators of the book have the practice of active learning easier. The method has been tried and tested on the ground with young audiences and allows a group to quickly learn to sing and dance. This is the ideal tool to prepare the carnival of 2010 in Perigord. It should be noted that a videotape will be available to complement the current year on the website of Cap'oc.
When I tell you that most of the dances offered may also be practiced throughout the year nothing will prevent you buy this package.

Aimé Lacapelle parle enfin sa langue !

Know the ILO Bureau of Investigation Tarbanais? And the flagship agency, the investigator Lacapelle Beloved? I'm a fan of this Comic since the first book, "I make sure the grain." When I discovered I could not believe my eyes. Finally, a cartoonist, Jean-Yves Ferri, who spoke to us with humor and respect. For once the action was not happening in a big city in the U.S. but here in Central Occitan. In general our country is a holiday region for urban greenery evil and at best gives rise to a television report in the chronicles summer of JT TF1. With Aimé
Lacapelle, people here find an identity, a lifestyle, a social life. And things happen on the territory supervised by the staff of the ILO! Throughout the album, "Thunder on the Southwest" (Volume 2), 'Chickens Rebels "(Volume 3), our hero has consistently solve business and wacky as complex as each other. The author's genius lies in a perfect knowledge of the terrain, which offers portraits and situations that are all humorous references for aboriginals.
A comic who looks like us
Until then I was always asked why Beloved Lacapelle not speaking Occitan, the comic is replete with idioms and Occitan. Well Fluide Glacial editions have been very good idea to edit Volume 4 ° "Beasts of Bon Diu" in Occitan version. The ace of the ILO is now expressed in the original language. The translation of Claude Balaguer is quite successful, with a real bravura fully into poetry. As for the humor and poetry of Ferri, not only do they bear no problem passing from French to oc, but one comes to wonder if Lacapelle Aime spoke one day except in Occitan. With you to discover these adorable "del Bestias God" and their world that we like so much.

With the rain not so much to do near our hostel, there is a music CD shop that it transforms every evening in the restaurant bar Jazz "Modern Sound". It's great, the music is excellent and the food is delicious. One refuge there two nights in a row.

Copacabana Beach ... in the rain.

Rocinha FAVELA
Around Rio residents are very poor settled in the mountains. They are from poor neighborhoods who self-manage; q'on call "Favela". Today we visit Rocinha, one of the largest, with 200,000 inhabitants!
With two Quebecers, Bettina and Mélisa we meet on the bus tour.

the middle of the favela, an impressive art gallery http://www.artfavela.com/ .

We buy a little picture of Augusto.

The group that organizes tours in the Favela is Bealocal, also helps encourage local living there. For us it was quite an experience to see how it worked and seemed happy anyway. To make donations to local schools and help these poor people to escape: http://www.bealocal.com/

PARATY

Still here we are in Brazil to Paraty! It is a village of colonial architecture, founded in 1667 located between Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo and finally it's sunny! It was time especially since this is our last day before our return to Quebec winter.

To the end of the journey we're paying a little madness, the Pousada do Sandi, http://www.pousadadosandi.com.br/principal.htm for two nights.
