Four appointments that will highlight the influences still visible between the Périgord and the East.
4 years ago at the initiative of the Directorate of Education and Culture and Tourism services that the General Council of the Dordogne Encounters between East and West had seen every autumn day in Périgord. The goal was to enhance the medieval heritage of our department through the story of soldier monks of the Middle Ages. For this 4th edition is the Departmental Cultural Agency which is responsible for organizing these meetings which begin at this Cadouin September 26 and ends November 7 at Bonneville-et-Saint-Avit de Fumadières. Meanwhile appointments will be offered to the public and Grand Belvès Brassac.
Perigord Earth legends
The Dordogne is full sites, stories, legends, in connection with the Templars, the windows, pilgrims and of course the troubadours who were between the XII and XIII century many roundtrip between Aquitaine and Jerusalem. Jean Francois also Gareyte, project manager and coordinator of the festival, "it is logical that this cultural finds its place in the Dordogne region. And those for whom this event might seem artificial, he explains that "These are real encounters between artists from different backgrounds who have worked in homes in order to offer in each location of original shows. "The course of each day has substantially the same canvas. First will be given a ride to see the annotated site. Then it will be punctuated with a historic intervention in order to inform the public about the ties that bind the venue for the show and the East. Finally an animation artistic close the afternoon highlighting the relationships that have existed for 8 centuries between Muslim cultures, Jewish and Occitan. In summary, JF Gareyte "These are the stories and legends of the Middle Ages that it offers people to find us" A fine ambition to four beautiful appointments.
