organizes the show "Ruth Lo," Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 20:30 in the hall of St Geraud de Corps. Ruth's Chris
an artist who seeks or perhaps a researcher who stages his discoveries. Anthropologist and musician, raised in a farming background where singing in Occitan was a reality, the young man is formed from adolescence to music current. While passing a doctorate in anthropology he created the GDRA, artistic research group located in Toulouse. The purpose of this association is to assert artistic choices for sound and visual creation of multidisciplinary performances. Assuming that culture is manufactured from person to person, "Ruth" focuses on what the individuals are at the heart of his creations. For this the collectage allows him to share the look on the other during a live show, which combines sound, radio, and images Amic Bedel. And of course there is the voice and the music of Ruth, which mixes guitar, clarinets, saxophones, electronics, bagpipes, and laptop sampler of images.
Discovery and Sharing
At the interface of artistic and anthropological research that follows each creative residencies is a performance platform to make the human reality and value the people who become collected, through the magic of image and sound, actors of the show. Christophe loves us and telling stories through voice, theater, and digital techniques of sound and image. He succeeded mirroring between the stage where it is physically located and the image projected virtual partners. All this created a very original point where culture Occitan yesterday form a continuity with that of today.
