NORTH THAILAND
Since Laos, we'll finally on the other side of the Mekong River to arrive in Thailand and already we see that a lot richer here! A bus takes us to Chiang Mai where we're staying at SK House downtown. In Chiang Mai, Lanna we meet thanks to Olivier and Annaig, two French encountered Gibbon Experience. Lanna is a guide but also became a Thai friend who speaks good English. ...
An unforgettable experience especially driving on the left!

Day 1 - Chiang Mai to Pai
We leave Chiang Mai, the second largest city of Thailand! After 763 curves in the mountains (because that is the pub that there are 763 curves to get there) we arrived in Pai for the night. A charming artists' village a little too touristy but still interresting, especially the night market. Our bungalow on the edge of the river is quite charming.
1864 CURVES LATEST Day 2 - May Pai Hong Son
The next morning we leave on our bikes, the scenery is breathtaking! We grimppons up to 1550 meters altitude, it is very cold and we do not really dress for this ... We stop to take pictures everywhere, long live freedom!. Still mountains and tons of other curves, the rain just before we attack our arrival in May Hong Son. Finally, here it is less touristy. The photos of the queen and king are everywhere in Thailand, across the restaurents, shops ...
CAN NOT HAS MORE CURVES ... Day 3 - May Hong Son - Khun Yuan
Towards Khun Yuan, a village 66 km south of Mae Hong Son. It's really great to get away from the paths of the famous Lonely Planet! There must be débroullier a little more for dinner and find a place to spend the night in the village there are only 2 spot to sleep! We will stay at the "guesthouse Ban Farang" which means house of strange! It's charming, it's great, is the good life!
Day 4 - Khun Yuan - Mae Chaem
At sunrise we hear music and talk from a Thai speakers, shaped horn, attached to any electrical poles in the village. Here is cool, maybe 22 degrees, it feels good! This morning we leave on our bikes and I realize that I have a flat tire ... Luckily we just beside me change my room tubes for $ 3! The road is always full of curves, climb, descent, through mountains, paddy fields and forests. It's paradise! On the road in the mountains, Peter turn a flat tire ... But fortunately after a village a few kilometers appears like magic. We repair the wheel and we go back through the assembly. Stop to relax in a small village we meet Mr. Yosi (guide in récion: yaitrek@hotmail.com ). As Mae Chaem is very small, we online for Palm View Hotel and a great restaurant on the banks of the river with good food and good music. We're thrilled because without him we would not really know or sleep tonight! The village reminds me of China by the difficulty to communicate, see the impossibility. I felt like the whole village knew they were here! People are friendly! Beer with ice, failing to have fridges!
Day 5 - Chiang Mai Mae Chaem After breakfast, we already begin our return to Chiang Mai. On the way we visit the magnificent waterfalls in the national park of Doi Inthanont or is the highest mountain in Thailand (over 2500 meters).
