We leave our tracks in Singgahsana guesthouse! :)
The road to the city of Kuching (which means "cat" in Malay) in the state of Sarawak. It is a nice place to backpackers, the Singgahsana, http://www.singgahsana.com/main.html for then to look for a restaurant. We meet on the top floor of a building in concrete parking lots, the top spot; open, lobster in butter and garlic-soaked vegetables locals. It was pretty exotic! We walk along a river curiously recalling the old port of Quebec. The architecture has similarities Europe. This is the last day of a festival, we are witnessing is a traditional dance with live music!
Riviere crocodiles ... falling into the sea .. or we Beignon ...
After 45 minutes by car and 10 minutes by boat on a river has crocodiles, we land in a National Park Bako. The color of the water and sky merges. On the ground even before leaving the trails, there are two bearded warthog and two vipers Asian emerald green. Peter also took beautiful pictures in not knowing that the only way if we'd get bitten by this snake were to cut off the limb on the field or sit and wait for death. I'm not sure he would be much closer in knowing this. So we left for a beautiful hike leading to a 2.6 km beach. Carnivorous plants, and hermit crabs disabled (Actually they were not actually disabled, but they all had one arm much larger than the second), proboscis monkeys. At the beach, we have observed for a long time ants climb a noodle on a vertical wall. They are so strong! And what support! Michelle and Peter outside the video camera in the sand. The zoom is buried under a layer of fine grain ... Woe! when in doubt, it hides the camera, just to forget it, but mostly for what hopefully will run the next time she opens ...
Santubong city: the same owners as the Singgahsana Lodge Kuching, they have a resort named Village House has Santubong. http://www.villagehouse.com. my / main.php "Location whose design exceeds all expectations. The tranquility is in order. Every little detail is thought out and logical. The pool at the center is surrounded on two sides by apartments. Rooms or chocolate brown and white are a peaceful place. "[August 13 - Cassandra] We are surprised to see so quiet and so comfortable place. Not to mention the hospitality, food and small velvet which we were treated!
"In after-noon, I go for a walk in the village. From soccer fields to the bright green lawn. The mountain of 850 m which rises behind. Schoolgirls who follow me, watch me and asks me for an Englishman rather surprising for girls their age. The houses, small and colorful. Brillantes of life and joy. "[August 13 - Cassandra ] "It's amazing how, with the trip, ants in your bed, it's normal. The beach, vast and majestic, it's normal. Macaques in your course, it's normal. It can be as much useful damage, everything is normal .. "[August 13 - Cassandra] Sunset on the beach, we'll reach the water off to be at least water to the ankles. A kilometer walk! The widest beach I've ever view! Scrabble and loitering. hearty meal. And the breakfast, Darling, Marina and Donald, are simply adorable.
: http://www.permairainforest.com/ We are staying in a treehouse, as in the third floor of a building. It is completely in the jungle. And the place is aptly named, a great storm just before supper. But when we say thunderstorm is a thunderstorm. With the light that cutting the foliage of trees and whitish lines running through the gray sky. We visit the Cultural Village in Sarawak, where, every year, takes place on Rainforest Music Festival. It has 7 types of housing for 7 different tribes or ethnic groups: Chinese, Malaysian, Bidayuh, Penan, Iban, orang uluet Melanau. Lots of information on ways to escape their enemies, their food and rituals. Beautiful traditional dance, a little different from others we have seen in the beautiful scenery and costumes well chosen. Following this, a good hour and a half in the wild. The trees are truly impressive. We bathe in fresh water sources. Back to Kuching.
