Welcome to India!

VARANASI, BURDEN OF BEING
Back to Katmendou organized and we said farewell to Yves and his wife Katmendou Garden House, (thank you Yves was amazing) We fly to Varanasi. Nice flight but immediately on landing the aircraft heavy rain fell on eastern India ... The taxi ride is unforgettable! There are at least 50 cm of water in the street, bicycles fall, cars callent, all became river.
Arriving near the old city, the taxi leaves us because he can not go further. In sandals and with our big bags we have 15 minutes to walk to find our hotel. We déhenbulont in dirty alleys, mud mixed with cow shit and waste and I do not even talk about rats and cockroaches. Finally found our hotel, we pay a room with a balcony overlooking the Ganges, relief at the moment! For two days it's pluis is monochrome, it is sad and our room a corpse floats before our eyes while the children play in water at 30 meters away, that women wash their clothes and that men perform their ablutions religious ... what a sight! even when we walk on different Gaths (sort of palate with lots of steps) along the Ganges to still enjoy the Hindu pilgrims who come to wash their sins in the Ganges. Varanasi is one of the holiest cities of India. The Indians come there to die by cremation open to achieve moksha there is the interuption of the cycle of reincarnation. I'll spare you the details morbid but I can tell you that we are somewhat depressed over time. Welcome to India ...

AGRA TAJ MAHAL AND THE
We take an overnight train to Agra last! Another story and happier than Varanasi. The Taj Mahal! The Taj Mahal is beautiful at sunrise with almost one in his garden ... The good side of the monsoon and the hot weather is that there is almost no tourists. Our rickshaw driver, Taju, led us also visit the Agra Fort. This fort was built in 1565, early for military purposes. It was transformed into a palace of white marble to be imprisoned for eight years, the builder of the Taj Mahal. From prison he could admire the Taj Mahal. Not romantic!? Tomorrow at 5:00 am a train will take us to Jaipur.

JAIPUR, INDIA WITH RECONCILIATION
The train arrives after 3 hours late ... it's not too bad we do not work:) Arrived in Jaipur in Rajasthan a rickshaw brings us to our hotel Pearl Palace, we are under the charms of this place! The ceiling takes off with taste and all Handpainted is wonderful. The rooftop restaurant is also very original. Each chair wrought iron was made one by one by proprio.Elles represent a character or an animal. It's tasteful. Here we take a kind of package and visit the old pink city, the castles and the Maharaja of Amber Fort, which was for me the highlight of the day!

Finally, in Jaipur, a hearty breakfast we lacked a long time.

Remove Fibroids With D And C

and Djugas ...

the trek back!
6 days of pure bliss! In Pokhara, we will stay at the Butterfly Lodge with a garden and very hospitable hosts. From there, we prepare our 6 day trek, without guides or porters. From this place we met Laura and Ludovic by chance in a restaurant for breakfast. They are telling us they go on the trek but nothing more. Peter said to them all the same to go to Ulleri to 1,700 meters for the first night because there it is supposedly a very nice view ...

Our new friends, Laure and Ludo, living in Nepal for humanitarian aid. They live in the Nepalese family of Maina Sunuwar, a young girl killed by the army, well known in Nepal. With his mother, they work to build a project to help children at social reintegration.

Day 1, June 4, 2008 ...
From the town of Pokhara, we take a taxi at 6:00 and then a local bus for 2 hours, fairly grotty thank you to the village of Nayapul. After lunch in a place full of flies, we will take information from residents to the direction of our next village, Ulleri. We arrive at Ulleri after several hours of walking and a spiraling of 1,000 meters ... Ouff ... Ulleri reached, we went to the guesthouse's highest village, Hill Top guesthouse "and, surprise, we review Laure and Ludo at the table of the restaurant! In this unforgettable place, we can admire the mountains of Annapurna.
Days 2
wake at 4:45 am! The reason? Well, it's the monsoon and it almost always happens in the early post noon when he is walking, he better do it in the morning. While en route to the village of Ghorepani. This morning the sunrise is beautiful in the mountains. But flat, I do not feel very fit ... I'm scared and I walk at least I'm feeling good ... I want to delay the whole world but ... Finally, slowly but surely, we arrive at Ghorepani. Peter is a ghesthouse, and without eating or even watching the scenery, I go to bed and sleep overnight. I suddenly feel very far from human civilization ...
Phenomenon under pressure at altitude, our bag of chips swell!

Day 3
Tonight we spend yet another night at Ghorepani, because of mine who is in bed but also because of the rain that obscures the view of the mountains that wait so long. So I'm in bed, not far from the toilet. During this time Peter took the opportunity to socialize with our friends Laura and Ludovic and two other people: Julie and Paul and two Australians to go for a short trek of two hours at Poon Hill. But no luck for them in the rain go so no view of mountains. Laura seems to have already had the illness I have, it offers me the stamps. The next day, I'll already a miracle better! Thank you Laura! xx
Day 4
I'm fine and a wonderful and unforgettable walk in the woods awaits us in the mist. Another surprise as we wait, the Sansu in Nepal of 'Djuga of them have 1 to 5 centimeters, they are the color of our boots and walking, she clung to our shoes, climb on top to the bottom ( even if it rains) and the links are embedded in order to reach the skin. Yes yes! Of Djuga, we have had for three days to come ... it's exciting ... At dinner a woman gives to us to put salt in our boots but with the rain is not very effective.
On our way we met the great gray apes with white head! We have admired in their natural habitats was very impressive. Shortly thereafter, on the track of the trek and not very wide on the side of mountains we encounter a group of 50 soldiers armed with rifles, very young and a little too happy for our liking. I do not lie to you it was not very relaxed in the forest ... But hey, we're not the only trekeurs in the mountains! We will sleep tonight Tadapani in a guesthouse at 120 rupees for two ($ 1.86 Canadian!) It's dirty but the view is worth really worth it, great sheets of travel!
Day 5
At Tadapani, got up at 4:45 am, the sun rises through the clouds below us and we can admire the mountains from our room (dirty) it's really beautiful. This morning, the small village of Tolka and the rain starts the game. Today we will cross a valley and then down 700 meters and 500 back in torrential rain. After the climb, just at the top is the sun! and what a view!
After the rain, we take a break to do a bit dry, I take off my shoes and just my stockings and a surprise Djuga! A nice big fat Sansu well and full of my blood! I do not tell you my reaction ... It takes a massacre and I'm with my walking stick! It feels good ... but it's pretty disgusting.
Another hour's walk and it is the village of Tolka!
Last day trek
in Tolka village we found a nice little guesthouse with 6 bedrooms hillside terrace, we are only 4 of us in the hostel. The sun, heat, the view of the snowy mountains, valleys, rice paddies, cultivated terraces of all kinds, people of the village, children, chickens, buffaloes, slate roofs of the houses Newar. It floats! that beautiful moments ...
already completed, we return to Pokhara for two days again with our friends Laura and Ludovic.
is the laundry, you relax and you will pay a good meal with wine in a restaurant Italien de Pokhara.
